Local Raw Honest Honey
We ONLY sell RAW honey from our own hives located here in Chester County.  3 bee yard locations with a Spring and Fall harvest to provide 6 different tasting honey. We would never resell someone else's honey nor cheap imported possibly adulterated honey from say Dutch Gold in Lancaster, one of the largest honey importers in the country. Raw honey never heated/filtered so all beneficial vitamins & enzymes are in tact.--- We are very mindful that too high a density of our beloved non-native Western honeybee colonies could negatively impact our more important native bees ( 400+ in PA alone) and other native pollinators. The honey bee is not native so therefore not wild, escaped colonies living unmanaged are called feral, not wild. Honeybees are an agricultural livestock as well as a rare superorganism. They did not evolve here for thousands of years with our native plants like our native pollinators have.  You'll see our hives spaced a healthy distance apart in our 3 bee yards , with a max of 4 full size hives and max 4 smaller nucleus colonies per bee yard. No bee colony overcrowded "ghettos" here with 8 hives on one bench side by side, 4-8 colonies on one skid, or a dozen full hives in a 10ft circle. According to research, feral honeybees space themselves 1 colony per square kilometer in the Arnott forest in Ithica NY.   Want to help "Save the bees" ? (pertains to native bees most off all)  Plant NATIVE flowers and trees.  (becoming a beekeeper actually does not help, ONLY more forage and habitat, and of course use no chemicals pesticides, herbicides, fungicides.  SHRINK YOUR LAWN. You don't USE it all, so why MOW it all? Give back and try to allow 25%+ of "your land" to grow wild with native plants and let nature return.  If you plant it, they will come. (native plants only that is)  (see Doug Tallamy: Bringing Nature Home, Nature's Best Hope;  Sara Stein's Noahs Garden, Wild Ones Organization, Natural Lands, Lawns to Life, Xerces Society)   Why FIGHT nature every weekend (mowing, cutting, spraying, chopping, destroying) when you could be HARMONIZING with it?   We have a sacred duty if we "own" land to provide for nature with it.  It's "Natures Best Hope" and possibly Nature's Last Hope. Get in touch to learn more@**Wild Ones of SE PA***  Can also provide beeswax, propolis, bee sting therapy, bee venom therapy, etc.  Research Apitherapy for more benefits of hive products.
